Content of the Oblivion’s new home

I’ve added a link to the Content of the Oblivion on the sidebar for quick and easy reference.

Entropia really is the world’s longest running beta test ever to exist considering how many bugs, exploits, etc. that exist and come every new version update…

This posting is being listed under historical articles categories and under the Tools category for the blog because I feel that the Content of the Oblivion is a huge Tool for the entire community to remember the past and the promises made, which were subsequently forgotten or ignored for various reasons. Time will tell if that long and growing list of Content that has hit oblivion will continue to grow or if the buck stops here now that Mindark has a new CEO.

After the broadcast, Sverige Television ordered a study on this show and asked Swedish people if they thought Marika’s story really happened or not.

29% were aware it was a fiction
30% were thinking they were involved in a true inquiry and were searching clues on the web, thinking it would help the police.
24% claimed it was real
17% were not able to make the difference between what was true and what wasn’t.

I don’t have any 1st hand knowledge, but based on some info I “think” I know, here’s what I see:

It’s common for small “entrepreneurs” in the movie industry make their own “distribution company”, especially when they can’t get the main distributors to call him back. So ND making Golden Shadow makes perfect sense to me. I assume he had that business long before he ever got involved in Entropia.

ND used to be in Warants, along with Bridge SilverFox Investor. Bridge Investor LLC invested in Mindark long ago, so it’s not a large leap to figure the topic of buying shares came up in soc chat.

Considering how much ND loves Entropia, it likely wasn’t a hard sell.

Since ND already “runs a company”, it makes good tax-sense for his investment to be through his corporation, instead of directly through himself.

And hey presto. Golden Shadow (alias ND) is a shareholder of Mindark.

Frankly, I don’t see anything that big at all. No conspiracies here. Unlike some folks, who seem to believe that owning stock in a company means you’re never allowed to do business with that company, I don’t have any problem with shareholders playing the game they invest in, so long as they get the exact same access to the loot algorithm we have (Read: None).

To me, yes, the above quote does seem to make sense historically speaking, but that does not mean it’s right or should continue because it puts Neverdie in the position of being an OWNER of Mindark itself, a PLANET PARTNER, AND a PARTICIPANT all at the same time right now! That means he could have tons of insider info, and might possibly be using it right now. If ‘all avatars are equal’ as Marco has said they are or should be multiple times in the past, there needs to be some sort of check and/or balance in place to make sure that that is what is happening. Currently if there is a check and balance in place to make sure that it’s true, the presence of that check and balance and transparency of that to the community has not been made yet.

Neverdie kept on playing, and still is…

After Neverdie made the announcement that he had realized that he was not to “play” entropia anymore since he was a planet partner, even though he was doing that for 9 months or so prior to the announcement, he kept doing it for a few days… and still is in some ways… it’s very ironic and funny since he made a pr stunt that indicated he had been the victim of a witch hunt which was why he was not able to play anymore, and why he, on his own planet had to have his own avatar stuck in prison.

In truth, he knew good and well what he was doing when he signed the planet partner agreement, or should have known… What happened was no one’s fault but his own. If he did not want to become a planet partner and give up his avatar, he should not have signed on the dotted line.

It has been brought to my attention that the Planet Partner Agreement strictly Prohibits Planet Owners or planet Partner Employees from Playing Entropia universe with private Avatars…

IF Mindark Choose to make public the specifics of this agreement, then that is up to them.

In general though What that means as far as I understand it regarding ROCKtropia and NEVERDIE Studios is that all of our Private Avatars must cease to engage in all End User Game Play activities, excluding perhaps logging in to manage pre-exisiting assets, until such time that employment is terminated.

All Official (Non Private) NDS or ROCktropia Avatars will be subject to Severe restrictions. (Management, Demo, Guide, Test, Roleplay Avatars, etc)

Further Clarification will be provided here if appropriate or necessary.

He announced the existence of that twitter account a few months before the announcement was made.

Additionally, Bank Neverdie in Port Atlantis still exists and is currently owned by Banker Banker Manager, a second avatar that Neverdie was allowed to have by Mindark when he bought the bank.

Also, it appears that new estates on Rocktropia, the planet that Neverdie Studios is in charge of as Planet Partner, are entered in to the game by being put in to Neverdie’s inventory, which he then puts on the auction in game when he feels the time is right to put the estates on the auction. If selling things on the auction is not a form of “playing Entropia Universe” I don’t know what is?!?…
